 Launch of 'Indian Disabled Entrepreneurs Forum'


4th December eve at the City of Joy saw the launch of a commendable venture – 'Indian Disabled Entrepreneurs Forum' at Kolkata Press Club.  IDEF is a non-profit forum that aims to foster a community that creates and supports Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for the disabled persons of our country.
    Founder Sumit Agarwal, and Co-Founders Devika Majumder and Asish Basak, have launched this interactive community in the august presence of danseuse Alokananda Ray and Dr. Hemant Keshwal (NIEPID). 
    IEDF  will provide a platform where strong action is being taken to maintain inclusivity and equality in employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and remove all barriers that stand in the way of the success of the PwDs, remarked Founder of IDEF, Sumit Agarwal (a Management Graduate & a PR Expert, in spite of being himself a disability-affected individual).



      Co-Founder Asish Basak  (writer & film-maker) urged for all-inclusive growth and holistic development in society, with equal scopes for differently-abled persons to utilise their potential and overcome societal restrictions. 
      Co-Founder Devika Majumder  (digital marketing expert) stressed that the advent of technology can help bridge the divide, and using science can enable many persons to overcome the obstacles that come with disabilities.  


    During the program, Mrs. Rekha Agarwal, mother of Sumit Agarwal (Founder of IDEF) was felicitated with 'Matri Samman' - 'Hello Kolkata Achievers Award 2019'justifiably recognized for her outstanding courage and patience and being a perfect Role Model for All Mothers.
   The launch of IDEF was attended by people from all sections of the society, who all put forth their best wishes for a bright future ahead for IDEF.
